Reviving the Blog?
A number of us have discussed trying to raise the All Soul's blog for a number of reasons. It seems one good way to help disseminate information among our body. It could also be a way to creatively share where we might be spiritually, keep us updated on the life of the body and city, etc. Some of the possibilities I have considered include sharing Advent (and other special seasons) experiences, re-emphasizing some of information from the sermons, sharing the discussions in certain groups (e.g. small groups, the leader's connection, etc.), announcing mission / serving opportunities, etc. and opening all of this and more for dialogue. I think one of the questions now is just what is All's Souls calling to the city and how will this all play out.
The way the blog will be set up is that members of the body will be invited into the blog and when you respond, you will be able to post to the blog. Only members of the blog will be able to post but anyone who reads the blog (in or out of the body) can respond. I will try to monitor the conversation and remove any spam or other inappropriate comment. (If you note something that I miss, feel free to e-mail me.) I think after we make comments, we should sign our first names and initials, unless the group feels we ought to otherwise identify ourselves. (Comment back about your feelings about identity.) It also would be helpful to label each additional posting in hopes that the posts can be searched. As I am new to administration of this particular blogging software, it is probably going to take me some time to learn how it is all done. If you have experience and want to offer suggestions, I am all ears.
May this be as a virtual small group and may God use it to further our service and spiritual growth.
